You Don't Have to be a Gardner to Appreciate Flowers

I’m not a gardener. I don’t have the patience for it, (or impatience…isn’t that a flower??) I still get magazines that talk about gardening and enjoy the great pictures. I talk about it with the people I work with who love to garden.
I have a total appreciation for the end result of gardening, but I am not a gardener.

I wish it could be that way with people who will never experience menopause!
You don’t have to be in menopause to take some time to learn about it and have a basic understanding and appreciation for what women go through. That’s the message I think we need to spread to those who are not yet there and those who will never be!

I don’t pretend to understand why for “some people” there is so much pleasure in holding a remote and flipping through channels, (but there must be, they love to do it! I don’t fight it, (unless I’m watching a show), I simply realize that it must be related to the “Y” chromosome. It’s part of something I’ll never experience first hand, or totally relate to, but I can acknowledge what it’s like for the person who performs this daily ritual.

I realize that a remote flipping habit and menopause are not in the same league, but I hope you get my drift! The people in our lives can do their part to understand this incredible journey we are going through. They can take the time to learn more about menopause, what it really is, what can be expected, and how they can be supportive. Encourage the people in your life to learn more at www.remifemin.com, and have them check out the Frequently Asked Questions area.

Maybe the next time you’re watching TV with the people you are close to, you’ll come across an informative program about menopause.
Then, hide the remote!

Do you get support as you journey through menopause from the men and women in your life? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I'd like to pick your brain!

Tell me:
Do you check your email everyday?
Do you usually go to blogs or is my blog your first blogging experience?
Do you communicate with your friends through email?
Do you use the internet to learn more about menopause?
How can the blog be more helpful to you?
How often do you check this blog?
Do you have a myspace account...do you go on myspace?
Are you taking your Remifemin every day?

Let's keep the conversation going...come and blog!
